1991 m30 convertable leak??? Please share your Knowledge

Hi I am new to your forum and need the groups help.My dads m30 is or was leaking hydrolic fluid by the drivers door handle but under the car. Is this a common problem and is this a line area or a pump area? Any advice or books I can find this information in? Please forward any thing that you think may guide me to the soullution.Thanks Pete in Ct
