1991 hatch S13 conversion

Im completely new to this site and I'm looking to buy my friends 91 hatch with 170,000 miles. I found a ka24de engine for sale with 30k. I really want to do an S13 conversion. I was thinking about thing an S15 conv. But I'm not spending over a grand for headlights. What all goes with an S13 conversion price, parts, time etc. also how a motor swap would be. Just for the stock motor to be put back in

You could probably get everything you need for $700-800. There are a few different options on the lights and bumpers. You should do some searching around, Google is your friend.

so would s14 Kouki bumpers, side skirts, and hood just "bolt right on" i know the headlights take custom fabrication

No, S14 parts are not simple bolt ons. Pretty sure you need conversion fenders just like on an S15 conversion. Plus the core supports are different, so the headlight brackets won't bolt up properly either. S14 Kouki parts aren't cheap either. Just plan on dropping some coin if you want to do a front end swap and make it look good.

What is the kind of price difference in an S13.4 kouki conversion and an S13.5 conversion

13.5 will be a little more expensive because of the lights. But both are very expensive and not easy to accomplish. Both swaps require new core supports, and must be done very well to look decent.

My friend has an s13.4 and looks like absolute dog s***. He spent months trying to get the body lines to line up and......still looks like dog s***. Unless you have done body work and have experience fabricating, good luck.
