1991 hatch runnin 17x7 rims will 225/45/17 work??

bought a set of 17x7 ADR M sport wheels need to know what best size tire would be for them.. any advice is helpful i looked around a bit but i couldnt find what i needed so i figured id bother everyone with this questionthanks

for a 7" wide wheel i dont think anything is wrong with running 225/45, in fact you could probably run 215/40 on them. but what's more important is the offset which you didnt mention..

the offset of the wheel is 40 and im not familiar with wheels but it looked like a deep inset rim

with an offset of +40 they will be SUNKEN they might look like they have a lip but the spokes will be bout even with the "lip"

thanks for the advice, i decided to use the 225/45's and things are starting to come together with the car, and ashibah was exactly right the wheels are not as inset as i thought, sunken is a great word for it.. they look clean as hell thanks guys
