And leave it park in my garage until is 25 years legal

No.

It has to be 25 at the time of importation.

TMO should decline the request, but the level of incompetence being what it often is they might not. Don't mistake their willingness to ship it as proof that it's ok to do.

Yeah, it's a bunch of crap, but there's really no way around it without something shady that could possibly rear its ugly head. I got passed by a dude in a GTS-T yesterday rocking some Virginia plates an i wondered how he snuck it in and the level of subterfuge he employed and if it gives him sleepless nights.

Why can't folks read anything? This has an easy answer, yet everyone is to lazy to look this stuff up. I'm serioulsy to the point of telling everyone "To F off" that asks stupid questions. This car has the biggest group of no nothing, LAZY fanboys I have ever met.

This part has nothing to do with the OP, BUT The worst part is they repeat the same stupid lines on "how they can import the car", and refuse to open their eyes when its pointed out that if they were right there would be Skyline already in the states.

rant over

Don't hold back, man; tell us how you feel. :chuckle:

I see how you keep warm up there during those long winters, rage.

How do I sneak a Mustang into Japan, eh?
That's a new one, no?

No. Importing it before it is 25 years old is not possible.

And, in case you feel slick about if they know the years...

No one can do it. 1997 needs to have OBD II.

On Board Diagnostics series II (2)

All cars in the U.S. made from about the late 80's early 90's (series I ((1)) have this system. The Skylines never did because they weren't sold in the U.S.

All cars produced from 1996 onward have the series II version and are required equipment.

Trade 91 for 89, enjoy 25 year importation after it hits the month of 25.
