My daughter has a 91 G20 infiniti with a 2.0 4 cylinder. Her clutch cable broke and was replaced by a shadetree mechanic in NC. Now the trans is difficult to get into gear in 1st and reverse. The cable will not bring the pedal all the way up. Don't know if the cable is just out of adjustment or there is a problem with the clutch itself.

Sounds like it's out of adjustment, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
