So i recently fixed the brake booster on my d21 after that i went to try out the brakes and the truck wouldnt turn over at all the only thing i hear is the relays clicking, changed ignition switch, battery, and starter and still no fix. can someone please help me if it is relay can you explain which one and where i would appreciate it. Its a ka24 with 115,xxx and it recently started to do this somtimes but after a second turn it would crank over but now it just completely died.

Found the problem, it was the inhibitor relay, the biggest blue one behind the battery, to double check if its that bybass the connectors and the car should start up !!

if you're still having this issue, what condition are your cables in? If they have a lot of corrosion / crud, they might not be transferring enough juice to start the truck.

This problem is still occuring after i bought a new relay.. idk why but the only way it works if is i bypass the plug that connects to the relay so i guess ill just be using a piece of wire as a relay for now on lol, anyone know why this may be happening?

Check the cables and connections. There are a few ground straps going from the engine/transmission assembly to the body. One goes from the back of the head to the firewall, there is another one from the starter mounting bolt to the under side of the floor pan, and I think there is a third one farther back still. If there is a fourth, I have not found it, but I know that these are often overlooked on probably every car.

is the truck auto or manual? if it's auto another thing to check would be the neutral safety switch. if it's manual then I would check the clutch interlock switch.

From what it sounds like you get power to everything (radio comes on and everything) but the truck still doesn't start. If I'm wrong then by all means correct me.

If this is the case you can turn your key to the "on" position and take a screwdriver or a jumper wire and jump the main battery wire and the small ignition switch wire on the starter to get it going. If your car starts then it's either your ignition switch or your neutral safety switch/clutch interlock switch.

iT ISNT THE IGNITION SWITCH IVE CHANGED THAT, WIRES BEING CORROPTED CANT REALLY TELL THEY LOOK FINE TO ME, MY CLUTCH SWITCH IS BY PASSED AS FAR AS I KNOW, THE ONLY WAY THE CAR STARTS IF IS I BYPASS THE INHIBITOR RELAY ADAPTER WHICH CONNECT TO THE RELAY WHICH I GUESS IS DAMAGED, BUT I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW ONE FROM SUMMIT RACING WHICH WAS SENT THRU THE MAIL AND IT DOESNT WORK EITHER I WONDER IF ITS BECAUSE IT WAS MAYBE DROPPED WHEN SHIPPED, IM GOING TO THE DEALER SOON TO BUY AN OEM ONE IF THAT DOESNT WORK ILL JUST LEAVE THE BYPASS ON THE CONNECTOR CAUSE THATS BEEN WORKING FINE FOR THE PAST WEEK

here's the thing...

it takes an electrical signal to ping that relay of yours. The signal to activate it comes through your ignition switch and your clutch switch. The reason your relay isn't working could either be because the relay is bad itself, or it's not getting signal at the right place. What I would do is take a test light and try to figure out if it's getting power to the right prongs on the relay when you actually try to start your car.

If it is not getting power...

If your clutch switch is bypassed you wont have to depress the clutch to start the car. If this is the case, you could probably start by checking where it's been bypassed, which is more than likely at the switch itself at the fulcrum of your clutch pedal.
