Hey folks. I've got my exhaust hung up with a universal tailpipe hanger and a couple muffler rubber hangers. I'd like to have the cat connected properly but I'm not sure of what is supposed to go here between the hanger welded just after the cat and the bracket on the frame?
It looks like these two want to mate but they don't quite fit together properly, the holes don't line up so I'm thinking there's a part here I'm missing but can't see anything on any diagrams that help.

Thanks for the input.

Try Walker exhaust online catalog. Here's a screenshot of the page for D21, 4 cyl, 4x4, 104" wheelbase. Your particulars may vary.

Thanks for sending this diagram, it answers a lot.
I have 35218 and 35802, they're both still attached to the truck frame. The Int. Pipe has a hanger welded (you can see that in the diagram).

The question I have is how do they connect. The 35218 bracket also has a hole in it but it does not match to the hanger hole. And this diagram certainly is better than all the others but shows the same thing, there's no other attachments other than what I already have.

So I'm starting to suspect the 35218 bracket has a threaded end opposite the stud on the end of the bracket that goes through the Int. Pipe hanger hole and that my original 35218 bracket maybe have that threaded end sheared off.
That's my working theory, I'm going to order both and see if I was right.

The 35218 bracket shows to have a stud on the pipe end. It should line up. Perhaps you could loosen other hangers to give it enough play to come together?

Hey thanks Sourdoughjim. But it turns out I was right, the actual stud end isn't there anymore. It's cut off clean, so you can't even tell there was a stud end at one point. That's why I thought the two mated together by sliding into each other or with a 3rd mysterious part.
So no worries, situation solved. I'm buying a new bracket and I'll replace the rubber 35802 while I"m at it as it's lost its tensile integrity due to age.
