I was opening my hood the other day and looked at my windshield wiper motor and it looked like a lot of the wiring was melted? There was white gunk all over the the wiring hook ups. I don't know if that's normal. I had to check it because when I turned my windhshield wipers on I could only here a little sound in the intermittent wipers but nothing else if I went to different levels. They weren't working obviously and I was wondering if I should replace the whole motor and the wiring or if it's something else that's making them not work?

pic of mine in the above thread. if you mean the grease that prevents wire from oxidizing , that is normal.

unplug the harness at the motor and test to see if motor is getting 12volts when you have the wipers on. . dc volts on multimeter. or hook motor up directly to 12v source to see if motor works.
