My car runs good at idle. The problem is when I come to a stop. The idle is terrible if I disconnect the MAF. I guess I could try stopping with MAF disconnected.
Is the maf sensor supposed to be coated with a white substance? When I rub Qtip on white stuff it is very prickly. It is a very uneven surface. The cotton catches on the uneven parts of white substance on sensor.
/[QUOTE=240FeVeR]Your car can run without the maf..just not through the whole rpm range. Unplug the maf and see how the car runs at idle...if the problem goes away its your maf. As for cleaning it, take a q-tip and cleaner be VERY gentle and wipe the element. When I say gentle I mean gentle. [/QUOTE
