driving @60 mph all of a sudden car slows to 15 mph and starts to overheat i can hear light ticking under valve cover and no power when given gas !

wrong forum gonna move it to online mechanic.

but it sounds like your engine just went by that description. after it sat for awhile did it start back up and was drivable??
