Okay well i been having brake problems for a while now. What happens is after awhile of driving and braking the pedal feels stiff. So though nothing of it i get home and theres smoke coming out of the front tires as if the brakes werent realsing. And thats how it felt when i was like it was still braking. So i go to my uncles he says it might be the rubber brake lines. Replace it still does it. So i posted here and was told they are seized . Replace the calipers, both sides still nothing. I am out of ideas. what can it. be.

This is also in the Nissan Online Mechanic area. Just thought id expnad my horizion.

i;ve a simliar problem..not exactly smoke coming out, but whenever i brake at lower speeds, i can feel/hear this grinding noise.. very disturbing.

it stops fine though..ordered a new pair of pads, since mine were pretty worn out, hope that fixes the problem.

well, the other day after replacing my pads..i went out to test drive.. after a 75mph run, my front starts being real squirrley.. so i get out and check the wheels. pads are smoking.lug nuts are loose.

tightened the lug nuts, smooth as ever. no brake smoke. one happy camper

if you think its the rubber lines.. you could chagne to ss lines...just search around, you'll find em

Did you work on the car yourself?Maybe the rotors are glazed....or if they're new, then maybe you or whoever forgot to spray the rotors down with carb/ brake cleaner to take off the coating. I just threw those out there but that doesn't explain the stiffness. You should check the MC and booster as well.

Check the brake pedal freeplay. If it's adjusted with too little play, the calipers will never release completely.
