I have a 1991 240sx and I am thinking about selling it. I was just wondering if some people would give me a reasonable price that I could at least start at. I want to get rid of it, but at the same time I don't want to GIVE it away. I need the money to buy a new car.

Here is a list of the modifications that have been done to the car:

New vaccum and fuel lines
Cold air intake
Engine bay sway bar
New valves and springs
EGR system removed
Full exhaust-2.5" header with 3" to the muffler
Exeddy Stage 2 clutch
Short shifter
Welded differnetial
Skunk 2 Lowering springs
17" rims with Kumho tires

Here is a link to some pictures I just took of the car:

I would like to see what some people with the same kinds of cars have sold for.

Thanks

im with zeause haha. the paint is still shiny so you should ask more than 1500 (from what i've seen), but i would put egr back on too if you still have it

Always put a higher price than what you actually want for it. People will always try and talk you down.

Lol 1500... have you not been on craigslist or ebay... a car like that on their would sell for 4 or 5 thousand haha.

I got mine in perfect factory show room condition in 2006 with new everything important like clutch, brakes, tires, etc with 140k on it and I paid 3 thousand for it. Most my friends thought I got a good deal cause of how good a condition it was in too.

I'd say with all those mods you should ask atleast 3 for it. Maybe even 3,500 to give you room to negotiate. Lightly modded cars don't sell quite as good as you'd think because you never know what the cars been through and it's not a monster or a head turner by any means that would catch people's eye and make it worth it for them to pay out the a** for. I see some really good ones go for 8, 9, all the way to 12 grand.

i dont think i like how the same people who would be complaining about drift tax are now condoning the same treatment when putting one back in the market.

Where the balls do you live?! 5k will get you an sr powered 240.....

That car is worth 1500, maybe 2000 tops. Ask for 2000 and you might get away with 1600.

I'd say $3000. if not a rush to sell. Mind you $3k cash can build a basic SR Hatch.

Also I'd say coupes are worth more than hatches, no sunroof coupe being worth the most imo.

Didn't we just make this thread? ON the worth of 240sx?

I say keep it. it's clean. Just get some coilovers and better fitting wheels. What makes you want to sell it?

Well, I haven't really looked for a 240 since like '07/'08 so maybe the average price has gone down since then. But Autotrader/craigslist/ebay have always been more expensive than buying one locally from someone you know or meet that has one he wants to get rid of. By a margine of like a grand or two lol. It's kinda rediculous honestly. I've seen my friend pick up a SR pig nose in running condition, but not really clean with several problems for 2500. And I almost bought a clean unmolested stock one that had 200k on it though for 1500 last year when I was thinking of getting a new chasis.

I'm just sayin that cars pretty clean, with some important and fairly expensive mods on it, if I got it for 2 grand I'd consider it a steal. I've been offered 3 grand for my car recently and my car's got some minor damage on it and isn't nearly as clean or well modded as the one in this thread. I will never sell my car, I love it too much, I know my car like the back of my hand and I have alot of history with it.

*edit* oh yeah, I live in Chattanooga TN btw. Not to many clean tuner cars around here to begin with. Chatt town sucks.
