1991 240sx motor shut down problem!

hey i have a little problem with my car shutting the motor. I could start the car up fine and take the key out and all but the motor is still on or something the motor shuts off but when i take the key out the accessory lights are on all the time what is the problem please help!

Let me understand this.

When you turn the key off, the engine turns off but all the accessories stay on? Or do the accessories turn off and the engine stays on?
