hello heres my problem its a 91 ka24de 5 speed it cranks it has spark comin form the coil wire to the distributor cap. i haven't used a spark tester yet but the spark is a more orange than whitish blue. theres no spark at any cylinder, i'm need to check to see if theres spark from the cap to the plug wires but i doubt it, the rotor button rotates it was pitted and burnt were it archs to the cylinder post, replaced it, the cap didn't have any burn or carbon trails on it so i'm deemin it good. i ohm the coil like the fsm says, it should be 0.7ohm mine was 1.5ohms. then i ohm the transistor pin A,B & C the way the fsm tells u to do each pin came up as being bad, pointin to the transistor bein bad. i'm not familar with the nissan/ mitsubshi distributor so i talked to a old nisssan tech he says the distributor sound like is bad. i'm not tryin to throw parts at the car to fix it so any feed back is good and it has fuel

im having the same problem, my power transistor is by the air box and looks to be bad also, but unfortunately i have replaced alot of other things in the process. i tried checking the three pins and it is supposed to give some type of reading, its like 175 bucks, so if you can see if you can get someone else to check your distr and make certain... also have you performed a secondary spark test? that should really narrow it down for you as to being the distr or not.
