Oops, Anyway, I pulled every green FL I found under the hood and it didn't stop the problem. Also I noticed when the relay in the kick panel is plugged in it gets warm to the touch, so I felt the other relays and found a green one marked as EGI that is warm to the touch as well. Thanks again.

I know your not looking at this circuit like I am but I will try to break it down for you to try to help you understand what is going on. There are 6 circuits you are dealing with here. Those 6 circuits are turned into 3 circuits by the relay. We will start with the 4 circuits that are not the control circuits. On one side you have power going up to the relay on 2 of the circuits. The 2 other circuits are the loads. 1 goes to the power windows and the other goes to the instrument cluster via the fuse box[ meaning it supplies power to multiple circuits in the fuse box.] Now with the key off those 4 circuits are not connected. The relay is a switch that connects the circuits. This is where the other 2 circuits of the 6 come into play. On 1 side you have a constant ground, that circuit is always grounded. on the other side you have switched power. That circuit only recieves power when the key is turned to the on position. When that happens it energizes an electric coil in the relay which creates a magnetic feild and pulls the switches for the other circuits closed makeing the 4 circuits 2 complete circuits. Now if you understood that it is clear that you are for some reason holding power on the circuit that comes from the ignition switch. So either the ignition switch is holding power [ but you stated you unplugged its connector and the problem remained] or you have a short to power between the ignition switch and the relay on that single wire.

When you said you unplugged the ignition switch, did you just remove the screw and pull the cyl switch out or did you disconnect the 6 plug connector along the coloum? To break the circuit you need to unplug the 6 pin plug.

Hello,I would like to know if there is anyway I could get a faxed copy of the cars wiring diagram. I have a pretty extensive electronics background and know how to read one. I just don't have the cash to buy a real service manual at the moment. If there is anyway for that to happen It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your time!

I am having a problem with my dash warning lights staying on after I take out my key and I trie disconnecting every thing i can imagine....every plug from the engine harness and every relay in the 2 fuse/relay boxes in the engine bay. I even disconnected the dash plug going to the ecu that we usually wire up for the SR swap.

It seems to keep me able to turn the turn signals on and stuff. I even tried making the lights stay on .....then disconnecting the ignition key cylinder harness (6 pin plug) and the lights remain on. I even took of the connection to the alternator (power, ground, 2 wire plug) and it still remains a problem

HOWEVER. When I took out the junction box in the driver kick pannel and i Turned it around and took out the blue little 4 pin relay. It made the problem go away......but I dont want to resolve it like this. I want to get down to the problem and solve this correctly. I even tried taking out the diode pack from behind the radio......I am soo stumped and I know it has something to do with the circuit involving the bulb check relay..........I tried testing the relays by adding power and ground on each one to posts 1 and 2, and they click and make continuity......I am soo stumped. Somone please can help me I will paypal them 10 bux!!! hahahah

List the lights that are staying on, weather you have heads-up display or not,
