1991 240sx: having idle problem

but now the car idles at 2k-2.2k rpms and fluctuates from 1.5k-2.2k... rocks back and forth

about your car getting cut off at about 2500 rpm. i messed with my car today and it did that when i disconected my MAF. I have rough idle when it is connected, but when disconnected it idles like a dream. so just check your wires on the MAF to see if its getting power. if so your MAF may be shot.

thx but i finally fixed my car, my maf wasnt shot, i just cleaned it and the throttle body and the cutting out/ hesetation went away, but then i started to have a super nasty idle like 2k-2.5k rpms then my dad did something with the valve thats in the intake manny and my car is now running great.
