I have searched many forums for this info. I am helping a good friend with his SR swap and I myself have wired a good majority of them, so I am not entirly new to the game. I ran into an issue with his car I have never seen before. The fuel pump was replaced with a walbor 255lph pump. The problem we are having is that I have 12 volts all the way from the fuel pump to the egi fuel relay at the front of the car, but the pump does not prime at all. There is no signs of it working in conjunction with the cars harness period.

I removed the pump assembly, and I checked the pump its self under a 12 volt load. She works fine. All of the connections are right and true. Black/Pink in the harness is correct. ECU has power. I show 12 volts everywhere, just no pump.

Please if someone has a clue, please post ASAP as this is the only thing holding him back from completing this project.

Thanks in advance,

Cory

Just incase anyone searches for this in the future, I troubleshot this for a long time. The harness plug on the chassis of the fuel pump (white/red on the pump side black/yellow on the chassis side) had no continuity from the egi fuel realy in the front of the car. So I simply replaced the chassis (black/yellow) wire in the same piout on the plug to the realy and this fixed the peoblem.

umm, my SR did that to me ... I was driving along one day and it just stalled out.. luckily I was close to the road and shot in a parking space... I checked EVERYTHING and i couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong.. then one day I said, hell I'll swap ecu's ..that's the only thing that I didn't check.. well, turns out... the ECU was the problem.. it wasn't sending the signal to prime it.. check that and see if it works.. LET ME KNOW if it does!!!!!!!

oh, oops, you fixed it... awesome.. I was in a hurry to help ya and didn't read it.. cool.
