1991 240sx antenna

I just purchase a replacement antenna for my 91' 240sx , at first look it looks hard , this is a power antenna how do I remove this ?Thanks inadvance : )

hard part is getting that top finishing piece off. It's probably rusted on like everyone elses I've seen.

You talkin about just the mast or the full power antenna assembly?

The whole thing .antenna and motor, how does it seperate from the body ?

I just about destroyed everything having to do with my power antenna on my '90. Must have become fused together over the years.

I'm getting rid of it altogether.

If you look at the plastic section that comes up from the body, you'll see a little topper that's got some grooves in the top. You need to undo that topper and the antenna assembly will fall down after you pull the bolts that are holding it onto the chassis that are behind the interior panels in the trunk. I had to take a cutting wheel to mine to get it out and something tells me if you've got an s13, you'll be in the same boat.
