1991 2+2 with rebuilt motor for $5500 good deal???

hey guys, just wanna say i love a lot of the cars on this forum, espically Zfreaks, boileralum00 and nsrz32... anyways..

i am lookin at steppin into the import world out of my history of chevelles and trans ams i need to know if i am going in the right direction to begin with,

i want something thats fasst or could be in the future, without spending too much. and i know that what ever i buy i'll be for sure puttin a bodykit on.. so what should i look for to buy in the 6k range

last night i went to look at a 300zx 2+2 5spd and ttops it is leather and the interior was damn near perfect, the original engine had low oil pressure and the seller said he tried to fix it, but soon after threw two rods through the block... he went to a place in chicago that sells used jap motors, turned out it had a broken rod too, so he finally rebuilt the motor and put it back in 2500 miles ago, when he did it he also put a cold air, stainless stillin headers + all the way back, also putting a chip in, with a new rack and pinoin, clutch and pressure plate.. i bartered with him and got him down to 5500/ after he made the car run in mechanical perfection, GOOD DEAL????

one thing i noticed about driving this car was that it didn't have the get up and go of my T/A, dont laugh but i thought that theese cars were faster than mine and it sure didn't feel like it... what upgrades are good for a non turbo Z?

na's are primarily touring cars. your next step should be a twin turbo engine swap...it's a whole different world then....with intake ecu and eshaust on a tt your getting close to 400bhp. with a 4.08 rear end on your 2+2 makes a quick car.

ok, i was afraid to hear that.. but is it common to come across a tt engine that needs rebuild or is already strong?

where and how much has it cost to rebuild a tt and swap one in
