Hi,

Currently I am driving a 180sx (with CA18DET).ECU used is MINES (No. 8659).

Recently I have bought a Apexi RSM and I have connected it to my ECU with the reference of the wiring diagram from Apexi. Everything seems to work fine (RPM, G and Batt), except for the speed reading.

When moving, the speed is always at 0km/h.

I suspected that the ECU is not giving out the speed signal.I would like to check with some of you guys if the MINES ECU will give out any speed signal? Because of the ECU is being modified, is there a likelihood that the speed signal is omitted? The MINES ECU have a speed cut function.

secondly, is there other alternative as to tap the speed signal from somewhere else beside the ECU?

I tried tapping from the speedometer, but still it doesn;t work.

Any suggestions?Any form of suggestion is greatly appreciated...

The ecu's speed limiter is built into the ecu itself and shouldn't have an effect on tapping directly from the speedo. I would try to find out about the way the ecu was programmed, or double checking you've tapped the right wires for the RSM.

thanks for the prompt reply.

I have check with some of the experience mechanics...

They confirm that the wires are connected correctly...

i am just suspecting that the mines ecu are somehow pre-programmed in such a way that the speed signal is being block.

could it be the case?

oh!

one more thing...i read the FSM of the 180sx...

the speedo meter cable is having 3 wires.2 from the speed sensor and 1 from the ecu speed signal.

I tried all these but still not available.
