alright, went to crank my car and everything went dark. nothing on the gauge cluster (not that it worked anyway but the lights i had to it were dark), climate control was completely dark, head unit and clock was completely dark. I heard a faint ticking behind the fuse panel at my left foot. i oulled the keys out and waited for a few seconds and tried to start her again and absolutely nothing happened. so, did a volt meeter check on the battery and it had a decent charge, but not a good one. so threw it on the charger and let it get a full charge then tried again and got nothing but the starter clicking. So i think it may be a broken cell in the battery. anyone else have a idea what it could be?

Bad battery...when you put a new one in make sure the alternator is charging - just for good measure.

Just curious, what voltage was the battery at when you checked? Sounds like it's way dead.

How old is the battery? They just get old and die man. That 13.2V you saw after charging it is what is called a "surface charge" and it's not an accurate measure of the battery's real strength. After you tried to start it a few times it took the surface charge off and I imagine it probably went back down to somewhere below 10.
