Welcome to NICO!

This is a common issue on the early Q45's, and from reading the service manual for the Z32, it appears they have a similar setup. The stop and tail lights are monitored through a sensor that illuminates a light on the dash if a bulb burns out. When this sensor fails, you end up with what you describe. Check out your service manual at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

The location of the sensor is on page EL-113. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you may be able to repair the sensor if something is melted internally.

This is typically caused by excessive current draw in the circuit. Replacing all of the bulbs with OEM Nissan bulbs, or Sylvania LL bulbs will help prevent it...

Good luck!

Heath
