This may be an obvious question to some but I can't find an answer no matter how hard a search. I have my z ripped apart and will be switching to some gt 525s and nistune. My question is if I use an electronic boost controller to limit the boost can I run a stock tune with the bigger turbos to drive my car a few hours to the tuner? Or should I get a trailer to bring it there?

Keep the boost down and you will be fine. Better yet, why not drive with the EBC powered off and drive at waste gate pressure.

Are you upgrading the injectors as well? If so, I would either get an off the shelf tune, which you are going to need a socketed ECU anyway for a dyno tune.

Personally, I wouldn't chance it if you are getting larger injectors. If its just turbos, just be gentle with it and do not boost like crazy. Listen for detonation, but honestly, I would just trailer it.

Your bigger turbo's are useless without bigger injectors, and to control bigger injectors you need tuning, by way of nistune, or whatever method, an actual tune wiht nistune would be better but a socket beats nothing. If you already have upsized injectors and have scaled the fuel maps then you'll be fine. Yes you can drive the bigger turbo's at low boost thats the beauty of a MAS injection system.

Hey guys been a while since I've posted. My name is Seth I have a 1990 twin turbo. Took the engine out to put in some 525 turbos and 615 injectors. I'm useing nistune as my program of choice and am wondering if someone has a decent base tune for the 615 injectors they could send me so I'll be able to drive the car to the dyno and get it actually tuned

Seth you already had this thread started on the topic, so I've merged this post and deleted the new topic you created. If you are not getting the automatic notices of replies to your thread, you may want to check your spam folder.

Alright I didn't know if I should have continued it here or started new because that original question was pertaining to waste gates and this one is looking for someone who may have a tune to send me
