hi everyone, i just registered for the forum but i have lurked for years. i can usually find any answer i am looking for on this forum.

but today all of a sudden my Brake light, HICAS light and "lights" light came on. I am not sure whats wrong. the lights turn on only when the engine is running but when the key is in on position (engine off) the lights are off. there are no other symptoms the car is running great. brake fluid is full. power steering is full, all exterior lights are working. unplugging HICAS computer doesn't change anything

Most Nissans use the Brake "idiot light" as a low voltage indicator... on my Q the ABS light also flickers with low voltage. I would check the voltage at the battery... it should be about 12VDC with the car off, and around 14.4VDC at idle.

hicas light comes on when the PS level gets low ( be sure to only fill with dextron type ATF)

and thelight light means you have a bulb out somewhere, probably the third brake light (there are 3 or 4 little bulbs in there)
