Hello,

What do you think of these mods?

Goods: Original owner, above mods, runs good. Real fast! Butt dyno tells me it makes something like 400 hp or more.

Bads: Fainted original paint on hood and roof, bit worn interior, ticking noise under the hood (stuck hydraulic lifters?).

Here is a couple pics I took in night time.

In my area (Los Angeles, CA), used ZX32TT go anywhere from $3000 to $12000.

What would be a fair price to pay for this one?

Lifter tick is a common problem. For me it ruined the sound of the engine, before I did my rebuild. At 90k miles with those mods, I'd be willing to pay 9-10k. If the exterior condition is a big deal to you, maybe use that to negotiate. Take it to a Z shop to get it inspected and ask him how much trouble he's had getting it to pass CA emissions. A lot of Z32s have trouble passing in CA. Also, I don't like those wheels. See if he still has stockers and will knock those off the price.

This^ I would negotiate even if the exterior isn't a huge deal to you. I'd figure you'd eventually get around to fixing it which costs $. +1 on the emissions problems in CA, I've heard it's a huge pain out there.

I'd be very worried about the ticking as it can easily be more than lifters, +1 to taking it to a CA Z shop for inspection and testing especially since it's modded.
Personally if it checked out A-OK mechanically, and I was OK with that :squint: front bumper and the paint and interior, IMO it's still about a $6K car max. Good paint adds about $1.5-2K, good interior another $1K, unmolested another $2-3K easy.
'Bout covers the TT price range from $6K (as-is) to $12K (fairly minty)...
