I was under the impression that only the DOHC 91-93 SE hatch models only had Super Hicas.

If anyone on the board is really interested in that car, I live not too far from it, and can probably go check it out for you. Let me know.

That car DOES NOT have Super HICAS. I've owned one and I know what to look for. First of all, the power steering resivoir isn't a HICAS resivoir, secondly, there is a HICAS light on the dash next to the rear wiper washer that his car doesn't have. Sorry, but not HICAS on that car.

Why do you think the 240sx powered by a 800hp RB25 is BS? The car does have an RB25DET, he claims 800hp, not 800whp, so he's talking crank most likely. He also says he's using an 80shot until 16psi, meaning he exceeds 16psi, which is about right... any reason thats BS?

you dont think that that engine could do that, it looked like he had quite alot of money into it by the way it looked. And you could always take the car to a dyno and if it wasnt pushing it the guy would take it back if he ever wanted to sell on ebay again

I didnt read the rest of the posts, so i was still agreeing with what was said at the beginning. I retract my previous statement.

But there still some people out there that are BS'ers. Refer to my post at the top of this thread for proof.

I think all super hicas models are canadian models. Even still, it doesnt explain what KS honda killer said about the resevoir and all that good stuff hicas models have under the hood. It looks exactly the same as my car under the hood. Resevoir and all.

Negatory on the Canadian only thing too. My last 240 was a 1991 Super HICAS. That option was only available from 1991-1993 in the 240sx. In 1994 they were still making s13's but they were all special edition convertables. No other option was available. Then in 1995 they went to the s14's. The 1989 and 1990 models didn't have the Super HICAS option. From what I know, HICAS was just begining to be used and it was only available on the Skyline and the Z32 in 1990, but it wasn't called Super HICAS, just HICAS. The "Super" was added later when the workings of it work updated. I don't even think that the 89&90 Silvia K's had the HICAS option. I could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. Under no circumstances is the model in question a HICAS equipped 240. Sorry.

Also, just to straighten out the VLSD thing, not all Canadian models had them either. Their optioning wasn't much (if any) different than ours.

Email the seller.... to take a close up picture of the HICAS steering pump.

Three ribbed belt = stock power steering, four ribbed belt = HICAS.

And when i said about all the super hicas models being canadian, i meant all the ones down here in the US came from Canada or something like that. Thats what ive heard anyway. Just seeing if you knew anything about it KS.

-Masterman-The big metal thing by the firewall on the passenger side of the car is probabally your ABS actuator. Follow the lines going into it closely and they lead back to the Brake master cylnder. Nothing to do with the HICAS. (If we're talking about the same thing)-Nismo1182-I still have to disagree on the Canadian basis thing. If they came out of Canada, they would all have the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) on the front bumper. There is just no reason for North American Nissan to transport a specific model to a different country and then have to mess with transporting them across another border.
