Sunroof rubber Gasket needs to be replaced. Been keeping it together with some touchups. About an inch gap in the rear that starts leaking when rains. Not in cabin but eventually. Doesnt leave the garage much. Long shot here. Who's got experience with this between the last 3 people on earth that have one of these. Discontinued part. Im guessing it shares another type of gasket of another car but what

Amayama has them in Osaka but they're $150 plus shipping:

Lid gaskets are pretty much all the same, there's a ribbed lip on the inner perimeter of the gasket which you compress into a slot in the perimeter of the glass. Most of them stay in place fine without adhesive and can be slid into the slot using WD40. There are some ribless ones which demand adhesive, gorilla snot works fine on them but make sure the slot is very clean. Gorilla snot is also a good choice if you want to use adhesive on a ribbed one, since it's actually fairly slippery before it sets up. In any case, none of it is rocket science, just a lot of elbow grease. You probably do need to remove the pane, although I've seen guys get tricky and work in the back with it tilted and then in the front with it slid back. I don't think it really saves any time or effort, so personally I just pop the panes.

I don't think your '90 will be any different from a '91, there's a good exploded drawing on BF-148 (pdf 1189) here: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 2F1991.pdf

So this car is destined for a paint job. No longer an oem option. Had a hard hit on shipping from Oregon. Totalled. As the doors and fender were pushed in upon shipping. Oem paint is not an option. Body kit. Paint is the likely option. Ive spent a few hours on making sure the VH45DE is running top. Abs unit needs replacement. New brakes. Tires. Rims. Pump. Hoses. Injectors were done a few years back. Not looking to do those again. Body...

Yep. I think they must be some sort of NOS, because they had the original p/n 91246-60U00 but not the superseding part K1246-60U00. Slightly unusual.

My Q wouldn't be here without them. I actually got a bunch of struts from them before they stopped shipping them. Window covers. Window clips. Bunch of random stuff you wouldn't even imagine. You know those little black circles that rust out on your windows? They got em. If you got a 94-96. They got those fog lamp covers. They got the sunroof switches. The brake pedal green things. Fuel pump o rings. You have no clue

Then I think the best you can do is take some measurements and see if you can find some rubber U-channel which will do the job. McMaster has a good selection with exact dimensions. These are the rubber ones, but they also have foam and reinforced types:

If your sunroof is leaking you should clean out the sunroof drains. The seal around the sunroof isn't designed to be weathertight, which is why the sunroof drains exist.

It sounds like @BCC93QT has a pretty big hole in the seal, and that will make rain splash out of the moving gutter and into the car with any heavy rain or a car wash. Even with a seal that's healthy 360 degrees, on most cars it only takes about 1/16" gap between the roof and the rear of the pane to allow splash to get past the gutter and invade the car. It's because the moving gutters are generally very shallow compared to the fixed gutters on sides and front, so it only takes a fast drip to get them splashing. Had one in the shop exactly like that last Friday, a gen3 Rogue that just got a new sunroof frame but the fixed panoramic pane was misadjusted slightly too far back. A tiny gap on the driver's side between the fixed and moving panes was letting through enough splash that the lady got suds in her hair at the carwash.

That's exactly where splash can happen, because the moving gutter spans the whole rear edge. The same separation at the front edge would make hellacious wind noise but only let water in at high speed, because the fixed front gutter is part of the frame and is quite deep. On a side a gap like that might let in no water at all.

So theres 2 issues with water/sunroof issues.. When taking it through the tunel/new car wash. It leaks on the right passenger side. Coming from the windshield. This is common for this car. . The shroud on the sunroof is failing... thats the most important part. As this car is from Oregon the body is great. But not so much the accouterments.

For the long term I think your only good answer is to have something custom made or settle for something that isn't factory. For the interim you can fill the gap. I'd imagine cutting some blow foam to the approximate shape and then coating it with black Plasti-Dip would probably hold up for awhile.
