Was reading some posts on this sensor.. curious as to actual function/failure problems...

On my Stanza, (among other problems) when the fans kick on, the idle drops tremendously... the fans seem to kick on more now than ever.. they never used to even come on until the a/c was turned on...

If this sensor begins to fail, does it cause drop in rpm's? Anyone have specs on the sensor to check with a meter? (90 stanza KA24E)

Car doesnt overheat at any time, but temp does seem to drop more now on hwy driving.. usually stays about halfway on gauge, but there again, never overheated or found coolant bubbling out...

Trying to cover all possible bases on this one.. new TPS going in tonight or tomorrow along with a cleaning on the IACV. MAF was checked and cleaned, seems to be working.

Thanks for any input...T

Temp problem possibly a stuck partially open T-stat. When your fan comes on your idle should bump up to compensate for the added load. The IACV cleaning may resolve that problem.
