Ok, so I got suckered into buying one of those air intake adapter kits with the cone filter.. looks pretty snazzy at any rate (running a KA24E/MT)... seems to run fine with it on.. question I have is the two things hooked up to the air filter box... the sensor and the air hose.. is there anything special I need to do with these.. don't want to mess anything up, but figuring they are running on outside air, it wouldnt hurt to take them off.. one is like a vacuum hose that runs under my relay box.. no idea where this ends up, but sucks air on start up then quits... the other is the temp sensor.. at one time, I had this bypassed with a diode but hooked it back up to sensor and its basically wire tied down and exposed. Are they ok to leave like this or should I do something else with them? Other than that.. I do notice a slight boost in HP with this covered cone filter on... not too mention easier to take off and clean than that crazy rectangle filter/box that was always a pain to remove lol....

allright, your temp sensor you can just secure anywere were it will be exposed to ambient air temp. the other hose is called the AIV (do a search for an explenation on this) it can be removed with no problelms.
