Everything you need for an SR swap you need for a CA swap. Although with a CA, you can retain the KA radiator as the ports are on the correct side.

you need the transmission the engine ECUwiring harnessdropping resistormaf + ignitor packan intercool with piping (can be the stock one)guts to do it yourself

and some tuneup stuff like belt ,water pump , coolant ,spark plug, etc.. cross your fingers that your engine doesnt need a rebuild Heheh if you buy it from a reputable shop or private sellers you should have no fear of getting a scrap engine

I think that all !ho by the way if you do the swap in a 89-90 you need to mod the power steering hose .. its pretty simple, you just need to twist the hose to the other side of the engine bay, where the power steering pump is

Or just get the KA DE power steering lines (complete), it makes it so much easier.

Dropping resistor rarely comes with a 'motor set', you'll need one. You can either get one from a CA16DE Pulsar (not CA18DE) or get one from a turbo eclipse, and hack up the wiring to fit (or just get some connectors+wiring from junkyard to make a jumper harness like I did).

chances are you won't get an IC with the set either.

it's possible you will get it all too, but not likely if its not a front clip.

You have to put the resevoir on the driver's side, easier if u get it from the dohc.

If you're using an SR downpipe then you will either have to cut and reweld the flange on the dp or o2 pipe or use an SR o2 pipe. Or you can use a CA downpipe. Buy: -spark plugs. I use NGK BCPR7ES-11. I recommend BCPR6ES-11 for mild tune.-possibly timing belt. Go for oem, it has marks that make it easy to install. You can risk not replacing it but if it breaks it could do major damage. I replaced mine even though it looked perfect.-boost gauge-compression tester, or borrow one so you have an idea of the condition of your motor-tool for connecting wires, be it a soldering gun, wire crimpers and hardware, whatever. -lots of electrical tape-if you use a front mount, you need to relocate the battery or get a really small one. You can buy a relocation kit or an odyssey battery or similar.-new vacuum hose-new fuel hose in the engine bay-gear oil, DI water, motor oil, antifreeze

Many things most people don't think about before the big day, and I left out lots of stuff I bought in addition to the stuff above, like new gaskets, water pump, etc. etc. etc.

OEM '88 Pulsar NX SE (1.8) timing belt. Read the FAQ about the water pump before you go to replace it.

You can find vacuum, fuel, and all other generic hoses at a place like autozone or kragen.

I got my spark plugs at sparkplugs.com because I couldn't find them at my local store. They were about $5 each. OEM costs about $20 each from kragen.

If you plan on pulling intake and/or exhaust manifolds, you will need new gaskets for both. Think before you do stuff...those oem parts can add up really quick. Don't just take everything apart right off the bat unless you're ready to spend another couple hundred bucks at least.
