The guy that detailed my Q saw that mine needed touched up and had a can of charcoal (or something close because he had a can and held it next to the trim and it was almost idetical) spray paint that he got from shermin williams automotive store. Hope this helps

I checked with the dealerships and they don't seem to know if there is or ever was was a factory touch-up paint for the trim...

I took the license plate holder to several parts places and found that Plasti-Kote brand spray paint in their "Truck and Sport Utility" line in Charcoal Grey (color code 1543) was an exact match.

I found it at Advance Auto, but that was in 2002 or 2003.

If your Q has the "cottage cheese" look on the bumper trim, like mine did - it's worth the time to completely mask off the surrounding areas, lightly sand - and paint the entire trim... I used 3m blue painters tape and painter's plastic. It'll take a couple of hours to do the job right, but it makes a huge difference!

Good luck!

I talked to a guy (forgot to get his named because all he talked about was my Q and Q45 this and that.) But I asked him if there is a code for the grey paint that the Q45 has on the trim and rocker panels.

This is the Exact code for the GREY rocker panels and bumper trim: PPGLK11-NO35122.

I also tired the above paint and I have to say it was'nt really close. But it may be because my paint is faded...

Enjoy, Also if anyone else has any differnt paint that they want to repaint with the factory OEM paint let me know I would'nt mind taking a trip over there again.

I tried the OEM gray trim paint (from the stealership) and it didn't match either- faded. I'll have to try the Auto Zone paint.

Here's the paint and trim codes for Paul's 93Q from paintscratch.com.

Acually I meant Heaths paint, I tried the paint that Heat AKA Q451990 said was a close match.

I have NOT tired this OEM paint. But paint does fade so if it was a little darker it may be normal. The only way to find out would be to find a Q that has never left the garage or is in a museam.

And I am also sorry to any who have tried the original paint code and could'nt not find the paint with it. The working paint code is PPG K11. That one will work because
