i have a 1990 with HICAS, and the rear struts are shot...Does it matter for the HICAS what type of Struts ( i saw someone recommends the Blue Tokico's), but i see they say they are not for active suspensions....how can i tell if my active suspension has been disabled in the past? And if it wasnt disabled, can someone tell me the part # or link to the correct rear struts.

Thanks in advance

I have a 1990 Q45t on which I replaced the rear shocks with the Tokiko Blues. It made a BIG positive difference. If you do this make certain you also replace ALL of the rubber parts as well.

My car has the Super HICAS steering, but it is not an active suspension car, so maybe my experience won't help you.

Good luck............John

I need to toss some tokiko's in the rear on my '91 base model. The boots are schredded . Also, need to look into the bearings and mount. Should make it ride a lot nicer

EVERY 60k or 4 years is the life of shocks..........they start to feel really bad in rear first.............when you remove all of them ---none will self extend! Compared to brand new.

Don't forget the rubber. I am sure all of it is shot.

I wouldn't worry. If you have the Hicac (Q45T) then you don't have active (Q45a). Both options never came in the same car.

Look in the FSM and inspect the underside of your car.

The girl and boys at http://www.everythinginfiniti.com will know.
