Recently had a vibration problem. Trans shop removed propeller shaft ( #37000-60U05 shaft assembly) and sent in to a drive line shop. They said they had to rebuild shaft as it was non-serviceable. They did that and then the shaft was installed in the car only to find it had a vibration over 40 mph. Infiniti dealers said that the shaft was no longer available (also the superceding #37000-60U99) and there was nothing they could do. This car has HICUS and not the fully active suspension. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Fun fun...

Wes has some experience with a custom driveshaft due to his M/T conversion. I'd wait for him to chime in. At this point it's either aftermarket, or trial and error with used ones out of later models to see if you can find one that doesn't vibrate.

Or maybe find another, more competent drive line shop.

was the carrier bearing replaced (no guesses)?
did the drive line shop balance the new shaft? statically or while rotating at the same flex angle you would be in during normal driving?

even if they did, you are aware that it may take trial and error clocking the rear mount plate vs. the differential drive input to find bliss.

by a 1 piece aluminum and move on with life. This place will even ship it to you for free.

Felton's might have a 94-96 driveshaft in good shape, but you'd need everything, center bearing, brackets. etc.
