1990 Q45 idle control compatibility

I have a 1990 Infiniti Q45 and my idle control valve went bad but I have a 1995 idle control valve from a later 95 Q45 but on the later 95 Q45 the Plug is different will the 95 idle control valve work on a 1990 Q45 if i change the plug for the 95 idle control valve to fit on my 1990 Q45.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're the same, but I don't know of anyone who has actually tried it.
