Hi guys,

I have a 1990 Q45 imported from Japan, unfortunately it died on me coming home from a small roadtrip.

I was basically accelerating from a red light, not heavily or anything and it cut out all on its own.

The problem with it is that it seems to not be getting fuel.

The car with turn over, and fire no problems at all, but after only fireing a few cylinders, it will die again, as if it were starved for fuel.

I would imagine it to be a fuel pump problem? But I also read that some sort of circuitry can overheat and die if the fuel drops below 1/4 tank?

Can anyone enlighten me on causes and courses of action to rectify?

Parts will have to be ordered from the USA or Japan, Australia has nothing

Buying a President/Q45 in a country where it was not sold in quanity means you need to import a few wrecks for spare parts or visit Japan Junkyards and remove dozens of modules because the retail prices of a few modules can exceed the value of the vehicle.

The turbocharged 300zxtt used a similar controller and pump.
