I have noticed the large silicone rubber boots are deteriorated and need to be replaced, Is it hard to replace the original Infiniti bushings with new ones? or I have seen on ebay ( 240SX 300ZX Q45 Front Adjustable Tension Rod Rods) Item number: 8058938125 which are a totally redesigned tensioner which does not have the big rubber boot, does anyone have any experience these after market ones as far as ride quality and setup are concerned?

Thanks!

Depends upon the amount of increased vibration and harness you will accept. Silicone isolated, vs solid rubber, vs metal.

If you make a mistake you can always return to oem design. Adjustability is a good idea to make both sides of caster exactly perfectly equal!

Thanks for the advise, do you know what the estimated cost, time & tools that maybe required to install new rubber boots in the original tensioner bars?

FROM EXPERIENCE:

The aftermarket tension rods are overall good.. HOWEVER, you feel a lot more through the steering wheel... More rotor vibrations (which would otherwise be absorbed by the tension rod bushing), and alittle more harshness over bumps, but the steering feels much crisper and the front end feels more solid under hard braking (since all the weight is taken on the tenison rod under braking)

However, the only reason im running the solid tension rods is because I am REQUIRED to due to my adjustable solid upper links (having the stock ones would result in caster play, which would wear the bearings out faster)... If you are not planning on switching to the solid upper links, then I see no reason to go with the solid tension rods, unless you wanted to get your caster perfectly in spec...

If I were you, i would get the stock bushing or poly bushings.
