No experience with the Q45, but I've yet to see a RWD that came out from the bottom......... HOWEVER:
Generally speaking on maximas, completely different ball game obviously, BUT I laugh when I see people pulling the engine from the top as opposed to the bottom as per the FSM. What they don't realize is that it is so much easier to do it from the bottom. On an A32 maxima this is a rough overview of my techniqe that I've perfected over the past few years, and if indeed the fsm says to drop the Q motor much of it will be helpful.......
Jack it up and stand it at normal underneath working height, do all your underneath removal. Than attach engine hoist securely, drop the engine on the ground. Than use the engine hoist to lift up the car. I use a big tow-rope intracatly attached to the engine hoist and motor mounts and it works great, of course I always use jackstands on blocks and 4 rims/tires as a back-up, but the engine hoist alone will work pro fro getting the car high enough .
