http://www.cardone.com

I wouldn't trust one that has been open in a junk yard or even with old worn out fluid that had absorbed moisture and turned to acid.

There is another remanufacturer also, but name escapes me. Might be Meridian.

They are incredibly pricey (over $1500 last I checked).

I just sold a "nearly new" one for $100 to another member here.

One of the main reasons we buy old Q is to get a non leaking ABS unit.We charge 20% of a new one [$400] and give a 6 month warranty.

Impossible to drive [costwise] an old Q without a few junkers in your backyard or a garage full of spares.

When a new wreck is purchased we fight over who gets what.........we have 8 employee old Q's to maintain everyone needs something.

I mostly loose since we rarely get a Gray one.

I believe the 1993 model year uses the same actuator (someone please confirm this?) - and at some point the seals were updated to eliminate the leaking problem experienced in the early units.

http://www.car-part.com has 7 of them out of 1993 models for $100 or less. If you're going used I would try to get the 1993 version - assuming it's the same as the 1990. Do the search using "Anti-Lock Brake Pump" "Modulator Assem, w/o traction control system" There's also one out of a 1992 for $50 with a note saying "07/06" which I guess is the date they got the car? I would think the less time it's been sitting - the better... If the updated seals were in place by 1992 that might be a good option too.

Back in 2000, the best deal I fould for a rebuild through A-1 Cardone was about $300 supplying my own core, through Pep Boys. Not sure if that's still available or if that price is still anywhere in the ballpark.

Good Luck!

But update seals won't protect you from abusive non change intervals...the 91-93 will leak just takes longer [mo miles].

Good to know... so the seals were updated in 1991?
