With that sort of an asking price you would think the seller would at least show some pictures and provide some details of what has been done to the car. Maybe he is looking for some sort of "classic" car premium? Doesn't the mileage need to be a bit lower than 80,000 to claim that the car is a "barn find"?

There's no 1990 Q on the planet that's worth $8900, even if it was one of the "0-mile" Q45's from Nissan's collection. That guy is clearly having heat stroke, he needs to go inside to the A/C and come back to reality.. :)

Honestly mileage doesn't mean a whole lot to me on these cars. Condition is paramount. Regardless if the car has 8k, 80k, or 180k miles, there's a ton of stuff (rubber suspension parts, hoses, etc) that all need replaced.

One thing that would concern me on AZ cars is if the interior is dry rotted and the paint condition.

Over the last year I've seen a few 1st gen Q's with sub 100k in really nice condition, and I doubt any fetched over 5k.

Have him post up the list of stuff that's been replaced, and I/we will be the judge if it's been "fully restored".

Im gonna hazard a guess that when it was completely restored, the car was completely repainted, maybe the seat leather was replaced, which means instead of being worth $3500 its worth about $4,000 to the right guy.

No G50 is worth $8,900, not even a museum car with 10 miles on it.

Someone needs to send that dear man a link to this thread.

No pics? I'll even volunteer to go inspect it. :)

That;s right--my '03 Q45 interior is as close to "like new" as a driver can be (it's garage-kept, and I'm retired, living n a small city, so I don't need to drive it much). With 79,000 miles. It's not worth more than $9000 private sell if lucky. Hell, I'm keeping it for ten years.
