The driver side headlight on my 1990 Nissan Stanza has lost power. I replaced the socket so far just with wire nuts and when that didn't fix the problem I checked for power by removing the nuts and testing between the wires and also between each wire and a bare spot on the frame. There was no power to any of the wires. Is there a fuse or a relay that could be the problem?

Thanks!

Yes, each headlight has its own 15A fuse. The lights are basically driven direct off the combination switch with no relays or other hardware, so there are a very limited number of things that can be wrong. If the fuse has power then the Red wire at the combo switch should also have power and it should come out on Red/Yellow with the low beams on. If it doesn't then the switch is shot, if it does then you have a wiring problem between the switch and headlamp.

Your headlight wiring diagram can be found on EL-37 here:

Thank you for the link to the manual and for telling me about the fuses! I went to the page you specified and see the fuses in the diagram, but in the fuse box in the car on the left side of the dashboard I didn't see anything labeled headlights. Are there other fuse boxes in other places? From the diagram I couldn't tell exactly where that fuse box is located in the car.

There should be a Fuse & Relay box on the left fender right next to the battery. See EL-89. My guess is the headlamp fuses would be there.
