I have the opportunity to buy a 1990 Nissan Silvia Q's that has already been legally imported and titled into the USA. It is a right hand drive - 5 speed manual - CA18DE (non turbo) - 37,000 original miles - asking about $11,000. I am new to these cars so I honestly don't know much about them besides what I have been looking up the last few weeks. So, I have a few questions...
Are these strong engines? Is this a good engine? reliable?
I know it wont be fast, but how much money would it take to make it fast and what would that include? How hard would parts be to get in the USA?
With the lack of power, is it still possible to get some good drifts going? (not my biggest reason to get it, more for show and daily driving)
Does this seem like a good deal? What should I try to pay for it.
Any other information you have would be greatly appreciated!
I really love the styling of this car, and its my favorite color (white), I've tried looking for some newer model 240sx' but none of them appeal to me as much as this car.
