i just got a nissan 1990 240 sx xe and would like to know a few things about it...i keep looking up performance parts and most(mainly all) are listed for the SOHC, like the DOHC doesnt exist...well my car has the DOHC, it seems that the DOHC is what the 91 are, so does that mean that i can modify my car with the 91 model parts?...which silvia model is my car(2.4L DOHC) also? which engine is it as well?what does the stock HP run? is it possible to take a 300zx manifold and put it on the car and get the twin turbos- which i have read about in many places...i appreciate any responses, thank you....

If you hae a 1990, you have a SOHC KA24E, 2.4 liter inline 4. If you have a DOHC engine swapped into your car, its from a 1991+ and its a DOHC KA24DE 2.4 liter inline 4. None of the Silvias came with the KA24, only the American 240SX. The Silvias came with either the CA18DET or the SR20DET. The stock SOHC HP is 140, the stock DOHC HP is 155. No, you cannot put a 300ZX manifold on it, you cannot put any manifold on it that is not made for the engine.

Also to make sure you have a SOHC, if the spark plugs are on the side, near the exhaust manifold, then you have a SOHC. if they're inside the valve cover then you have a DOHC. Just to make sure the previous owner didn't swap the engine or anything...
