ok, so here's what's happening... when i start my car, it idles fine... at around 1.1k rpm or so... but when i drive it a while, and stop at a red light or somthing... the rpm drops down to like 400 rpm or so... then it goes back to regular idle range... (1.1k or so) and i've had the car die on me once... what could be the problem? (sorry but i'm not that educated on cars yet...)

You should only be idling around 500 to 800rpms. That might be the begining of your problem.

But it also could just be a sensor or a vacuum leak of some kind, so try looking around at your MAF or your AIV or the hoses that connect to the TPS and the IAA and AAC. I know that when I first got my 240 the AIV valve had rusted itself shut, and that kinda solved the problem of my wierd idle. Just giving some sugestions before you go spend the money to have it looked at and find it was just something simple.

grab the maf connector when your car is running oddly and wiggle it a bit. see if it picks back up, my car does that from time to time. also, check your CTS (colant temp sensor), a search on this site should bring it up along with info about the IAA and AAC. btw: TPS = Throttle position sensor.
