Ever since I bought my 240 about 3 years ago, the parking brake hasn't exactly worked. This is pretty much just an annoyance being as that the car has a manual transmission and can be left in gear to prevent rolling, but i would like to fix it if possible. Here's the deal, when I pull the e-brake it feels very loose and doesn't have very much effect on the car. It does grab somewhat, but if the incline is more than slight the car will roll. What do I need to do to tighten it or what do I need to replace to make it work properly. Thanks!

Check the ebrake cables. If they've snapped or stretched too much replace em. They connect to the rear calipers at the bottom. Also make sure they're tightened down down there. To adjust your ebrake, there's a small adjusting nut at the base of your ebrake handle. It's an 8 or a 10mm I forget which but put a socket down there and tighten till it's decent.

yes...you should have 3-4 clicks at full engagement. so do as 180fan says. and adjust till adjusted properly... when put in drive or reverse the e-brake should hold allowing no movement.
