This is probably an easy one for you technical wizards but here goes....I basically want to switch my rear drums to disc I know most #rd Generation Se have discs in the rear but mine dont. If you could, explain what parts i need and if possible the proceedure in detail.

Hey guys this is the first car i ever owned so i dont have much experience with suspension work but im pretty good with mechanics. I thank you for any help you can give me even if its just a pointin the right direction.:help

I have seen this conversion done before on another 3rd gen on Maxima.org. So it is possible, so start searching for technical help.

ok maybe im not searching in the right places but i cant find anything. And there are 3 generations with rear disc because there are replacement and even aftermarket rotors for the front and rear discs.

I dont believe the J30 max had rear disc. the u-11 did I know, the A32 did, the A33 did as well as the A34 but I really dont remember ever seeing them on a J30. If it did it was on a very limited model. if a setup from that year will work I am thinking an infiniti probock around that time frame would be your best chance at it.

Ok this is a "REPLACEMENT PART" hmmm........again "REPLACE-MENT PART" why would they make a replacement part for a part or set up that doesnt exist? If this were some site i found int he back of RICERBOY then i wouldnt press the issue but this is STILLEN. I've got to go with the name.

who the hell knows. why dont you just go to your local junkyard, find a max with rear discs, pick them up, and see if they bolt on to your car.

alot of nissan parts seem to be interchangeable. give it a shot.

89-94 SE's all have rear discs, as well as GXE's with ABS

Head over to a pull yard, and grab the whole rear hub/spindle/damper mount, and the discs, caliper, and all that. It mostly bolts right up.
