So I have an auto dimming mirror out of a 95 Q and was wondering if there's factory wiring for it in the base model 90's.

Initial look I couldn't see any extra connectors up there and I want to avoid needlessly pulling the headliner if you guys know that there's no factory wiring up there. Worse case I'll wire it in myself but figured I'd ask first.

As far as I know it's not there. I don't think that option was available until the 1994 redesign. I'm guessing you could pick up switched 12V at the sunroof motor, and if you need constant 12V for any reason, at the map lights. What I suspect will be more fun is getting it to all bolt up... please let us know how it goes. I have a floppy mirror with the dimmer flip "switch" missing, so this would be a nice upgrade if it's not too hard to get right.

Yup looks like it wasn't an option till 93. as far as bolting up it mounts the same way as the original manual mirror. I'll try to get a break down of the wiring and post it here so everyone has it.

Had the same issue with my original mirror. I actually have a small nylon spacer wedged into the lever slot it to keep it from bouncing around but it's annoying to deal with when having to switch from night to day.

I'll have to try that. I have never been one to flip the mirror anyway (rear tint helps?), so just keeping it locked in place would be fine with me. Wiring should be available in the FSM ( www.infinitiservicemanual.com )
