Chips wont help you and you'll have to fabricate your own cold air intake for the ka24e.

I hope that was a sarcastic response. If not, your stupid. As previously stated, there are options for you. I happen to own and have installed an Injen CAI. My only peeve, the hood heat pad thingy rubs on the pipe. It doesnt dent it at all but you can see on the pipe where it rubs.

Believe it or not, there's even a header for the SOHC. I got one from OBX. Dispite what people say, it's nice. Yeah I had a bit of trouble getting it on the first time, it's easier now that I have the know-how. It drastically changed the sound my motor makes and I can feel a difference in higher end with it's 4-2-1 design. Lower end kinda went down but after 3K it picks up quite a bit. I was able to stick with a Cobalt SS (supercharged) on the highway through 5th gear.

So, your covered on all basses. Go have fun.

For the intake: If you have any friends that can weld id recommend making your own, im sure it's a hell of alot cheaper than buying one. I noticed a great throttle response when re-locating my battery to the trunk and routing the intake through a hole where the battery tray used to be.

thats exactly what i did. total all parts costed roughly 100buxive done this so far 3-4 times and what you need is 1 ram air intake from a 94 integra (ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW)2 a maf adapter with filter. (ebay)http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...l13183. extra 2.5in to 3in coupler (i used 4dollar rubber one from homedepot pvc)

after battery is relocated use either a hacksaw or dremel or die grinder and juts cut to fit. then be carefule doing this but cut the maf signal wire CASING and then pull it to where it needs to go then RETAPE EVERYTHING GOOD. so nature doesnt affect it

battery kit 12-15 ft 2gage or better a distribution block not needed but nice to havehttp://www.tti-plus.com/Bluewa...2.htm 200amp breaker (saved the coupe once so far got stuck in a serious..puddlehttp://cgi.ebay.com/CIRCUIT-BR...l1247plus battery mounting tray and holddowns or batterybox

then i followed this guide and made lil changes particular to mysetup. http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=196280

pics of my setup as inspiration

also since the picture was taken i have wired in the amp/distribution block/and efans

If you want an itake go to http://www.jgycustoms.com they have them for 20 bucks, but as for a chip the cost isnt really worth it unless you dont mind spending 300 to 400 dollars for 7hp.

See, thats where people go wrong. They want HP so they go out, buy an intake and exhaust, and thats it. A computer chip makes up for the lean conditions you now have with all that extra air coming in from the intake and exhaust. Now, you may have pre-ignition (detonation) cause the A/F ratio is 12.5:1 (numbers are just a representaion and not accual #'s) and the combustion chamber temps go up. So, you can see now why chips are more than just power adders. They're like insurance for your motor.

You could also get an adjustable FPR and raise the pressure a little to even things out a bit. You would probably want A/F gauge to moniter the A/F ratio and adjust the pressure accordingly. Too lean, raise the pressure. Too rich, lower pressure.

might be a stupid question, but since you got the intake from an integra, does that mean i can just get any intake and it would fit on my 90 ka24e?

tuning your ecu for i/h/e is a good idea.buying a brand name/ no-name brand "universal" chip is a bad idea. just becouse ten motors say KA24E on it, doesnt mean (even in the slightest) that they are the same.if your talking about getting a blank chip and getting a program to burn one, then yeah go for it. other option is just get a AFC of some kind. but the "chips" you buy that are already programmed "for your motor" is just BS.
