I have a KA24DE swapped 1990 hatch. I live in the wonderful state of California, where we have to "BAR" our motor swaps before they're eligible for a smog test :bs:
I took my car to the BAR referee station in my area, and would have passed the swap if I had a check engine light....
Since my speedometer doesn't even have a check engine light, I'm guessing the KA24E is OBD0. So if I were to swap in a dual cam speedometer, would I be able to run the diagnostic wires (that I didn't splice into the white dash clip) behind the dash and solder them onto the new speedo harness, and use my single cam harness with a dual cam speedo, or would I be better off just finding a dual cam dash harness, swapping back to the brown dash clip, and running the new harness behind my dash? S13s come to the Pick N Pulls in my area about once or twice a month, so sourcing one wouldn't be too much of a problem for me.
Any input would be helpful, since I can't seem to find anything here or on Google.

The ka24e harness won't have the consult wires because its obd0 so getting the dohc harness might help. Also getting the dohc gauge cluster wouldn't be a bad idea either. (tach wouldn't work and check engine light isn't equipped in the sohc's) you may have to wire the check engine light wire though but shouldnt be to difficult.
