Hey everyone, I just got a used 1990 Nissan Hardbody. The truck had been broken into, 2 windows smashed out, and the center dash was all ripped out. I have been trying to get the a/c working again, but can't figure out the wiring. I got a new A/C button on ebay, but there is no coresponding plug on the dash side to plug into it. Does anyone know where the wires run to get to the a/c button? how many wires there are? Pictures? I normally wouldn't care, but I replaced the broken windows with plexiglass which can't roll up or down, and it is HOT!

welcome to the forum. I'm not sure on the wires, but if you have a local junkyard you could look at truck there as well as get some replacement parts cheap. even windows that work.

Thanks for the welcome,
I sadly live in nowhere New Mexico, the closest salvage yards are 3 hours away, and none that I have called have anything "that old". I am always looking for another hardbody in town that i can chase down and ask the owner if I can look under their dash, no luck yet hahahaha

my ac button has a 2 wire black plug, it should be hanging in the dash if not it may have been cut for some reason. or it does not have AC.

Found someone with a hardbody that let me sniff around under his dash for a while. In the off chance anyone else gets their entire center dash ripped out..... There is a short harness that plugs into the A/C button and runs behind the dash to the passanger side. The harness then plugs into another harness that goes into the engine bay. the short harness had been ripped at the plug under the dash that is why I couldn't figure it out. A bunch of pictures, and some ghetto wiring I now have Air!!

Congrats and good hunt down. I got lucky my 91 is one owner and he was totally stock, so many rip crap out and make it a pain for future owner to figure stuff out.
