Can it be done without removing plenum? Drivers side rear injector.

I remember a post where an owner had ground out the plenum with a dremel to make room for a screwdriver to get a straight shot at the injector cap. I replaced #7 on the black Q and considered this option but my paws were still too big to reach under the plenum without unbolting it.

You can get to #7 without completely disconnecting and removing the plenum. I propped mine up and off to the side with a 2 X 4 leaving the last hose in the rear connected. There's still not a lot of room and that's where I came up with my noose method to pop the injector out.

Yes, I did that a few years ago.zerothread?id=108856

I attached a short hex screwdriver drive bit to the shaft of another screwdriver using a very small hose clamp. This gave my tool the offset I neeed to access the hard-to-get injector screw.

When you pull the injector, you are going to ruin it in the process unless you remove the plenum. Loosening the plenum and nudging it bit is not a big deal though, unless you haven't ever removed the plenmu and don't want to replace the plenum gaskets.
